(Source: US Senate Committee on Appropriations) 06.09.16 WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Senate Committee on Appropriations today approved for Senate consideration a bipartisan spending bill that provides increased funding for medical research, job training, educational opportunities and the fight against opioid abuse. The FY2017 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Bill recommends more than $1 billion in spending reductions and totals $270 million less than FY2016.
